I installed an alarm in a 2001 monte carlo with a 791 viper. I got the orange and white wire from the side panel near the light switch. It locks but doesnt lock. Can anyone help ?

...............It locks but doesnt lock

Can you please clarify this statement? Are you having troubles with unlock or the lock ?

Yes i am having troubles with the unlock and lock. It arms and the door locks, If i unarm the doors wont unlock.

Power Lock ORANGE / BLACK (-) ** AT BCM ON DRIVER SIDE
Power Unlock SINGLE WIRE SYSTEM OF INST PANEL #217
** ORANGE / BLACK Door Lock Wire Must Receive A Ground (-) Pulse Thru A 470 Ohm Resistor To Lock And A Solid Ground (-) Pulse To Unlock. #217- See Single Wire Resistor Door Lock Diagram.
