Headunit speaker wiring?

If I wire my speakers in 2ohm instead of 4ohm would that damage my headunit? It works now and sounds good but I don't want to take the chance and damage it.

most headunits are not built to be 2 ohm stable. You can check your owners manual, or with the company if it's that important to you, but I would say that it would be pretty rare to actually find one that is 2 ohm stable.

It will cause your HU to run hot and eventually blow.  I wouldn't suggest it.
