I wonder anyone has experience of this.

Last week my car was dead when I was driving on the road. I was waiting for green light at a crossing. When I tried to move when the lights turned green, my car engine stalled and head lights shut off. I was thinking it is a alternator problem but no problem found when I got it checked. And my car can still start now, meaning I don't have a battery problem. It looks like a problem of circuit.

I installed an alarm+keyless entry system 2 weeks ago. Could this be the cause of my car stall? I wrapped the wires pretty well but could it be possible that I didn't wrap the wire thick enough, so that alternator output grounded directly?

When you say that you "wrapped" the wire, did you solder your connections ? Did you use an ignition disable relay in the installation ?

No, I didn't solder the wire connections. I was thinking of that but someone told me it would be enough twisting the wire together. I didn't use the ignition disable relay. I have a wire connected to brake switch and a wire to "ACC ON", activating the auto-door lock function after starting and auto-unlock after key to "OFF". Do you think I should solder the wires, especially for the power source?

Yes, you should solder the wires, especially the main harness connections. Just "wrapping" wires could have burnt your car to the ground. Does that someone who gave you that advice like you?

from the sounds of what you've described, the alarm shouldn't be the source of your problem. here's a couple of things worth checking:

1. are the battery terminals tight or can they wiggle around? are they clean? howabout the ground cable from the battery to the car chasis? is it tight there too?

2. is it possible that during your install you've pulled a little harder than you should on some of the wires, specifically those leading to your ignition key cylinder? it's also possible that the ignition key cylinder (or tumbler) is faulty.
