hi,

Right now i'm using high level inputs running into my amp, but have heard this is the worst place to get a input connection from because I would be simply amplifying the static etc. in my bass.

I am using my amp strictly for 2 10 " subs.  I do not have any other amps nor a component set.  i have noticed though on certain days that the bass is not as crisp or clear as it should be.

Someone suggested I get a hight level to rca converter so I can run rca's to my amp.  I'm not sure what to do.

I have an otherwise stock stereo system in the car except for the amp and subs.

What can you guys suggest?

Running a  speaker to line level convert will be no different than running the high level inputs on the amplifier. You are still taking the signal off your speakers and feeding it into the amplifier. If your not competing or an audiophile, the bass reproduction you have will probaably be good. Even most of todays digital amplifiers have alot more noise in the system than the older 2 channel amps ( about .1 % @ 2 ohms !! ) Nothing to write home to mom abuot tha's for sure ! Keep the high level inputs or if you want spend the money on a speaker to line level convert but make sure you get one with a noisegate on it to filter out any unwanted junk.
