i had my viper 800 esp in my 2000 gmc sonoma for a while now. and finally got the time to finish the yor valet 551t install with the passlock module.

everything works properly except whe i remote start it trips the alarm if i disarm it will stay running put the key in can drive etc.

i tried to unplug the shock sensor because i thought that was tripping it but it still does it

does it have something to do with the sensor shunt input on the alarm i tried to use the remote starts blue programable output for this but still trips but operates the passlock module correctly

thanks in advance eric

does the alarm sound right before the car starts or after the car starts?  it sound like its just picking up the ignintion wire input from the remote start.  as you know if you try the start you car while its armed the alarm sounds.  probably the same thing happening.

yes the 551 has an ignition out wire ( yellow ) that feeds to the ignition wire of your alarm... it knows when you remote start the vehicle to hold back a voltage on that line, but to allow it in all other cases....

so i cut the viper wire that goes to the ign wire and use the one from the 551t

that would explain alot i had them both tied in together
