Honda Question

I own a 95 Accord. I would like to remove my Alpine CD player and switch back to a factory unit. i want to install a factory unit that I got from a 2001 Accord EX, the double-DIN unit with AM/FM/CASS and a built-in 6-disc cd changer. I am doing this because I like the look of the stereo, and I'd rather have an in-dash cd changer than a flashy stereo, and I can't afford both. I have an alpine CDA-9813 receiver in it right now, which I think is awesome, but I keep getting tickets for noise violations, so i took my amp/subs out and now I just have the HU and pioneer/jbl speakers.

Here's my question:  since 1997, Accords have had the antenna in the rear window, likely eliminating the need for a power antenna lead on the stereo. My car has a power antenna, being a 1995 model, so my question is, assuming there is no power antenna lead on the 2001 unit, how do I hook my power antenna lead to my new factory stereo? I would like it to be the way it is now - it only extends when the radio is on, not when i am playing CDs or using the XM or AUX inputs, but if I can't do that, I at least need it to extend when i turn the stereo on.

Anyone ever done this before, or know a trick any help would be appreciated!

Why dont you just get some sound deadener and turn down the volume and gains.

If you get quality stuff and do it right, you can make 130db sound like a faint buzz.

Thanks for the help. I got everything hooked up. When I made my wiring harness, I just cut off the end male harness from the 2001 Accord, and connected to an aftermarket female harness that plugs into my 1995 Accord. Yesterday, I drove at night for the first time since I put in the new stereo, and I noticed that the display on my radio lights up, but I cannot see any of the buttons. I know this must be a separate wire, but I don't know which one! I had four extra wires when I made the wiring harness, and I know three of them are used to link the steering wheel controls (VOL up, VOL down, CH/MODE) from the 2001 Accord to the stereo. Does anyone know which wire from the 2001 Honda Accord EX AM/FM/CASS/6-disc CD controls the dimmer / illumination of the radio buttons? Maybe a link to a site with this info? Any suggestions?
