Lately i have been seeing erbodies subs facing down in der boxes exposing there magnets. was sup wit this. does this make subs hit harder or is it jus for show. it does have a nice look to it though i have to admit.....especially if you have subs wit big, flashy Magnets like Kicker..let me kno.

If you have one sub, just for show.  Someone was telling me there was actually some benefit if you are running 2 subs, one inverted, wired 180 degrees out of phase.  You may want to run a search on this topic.  People have asked and been given good answers before.

Did you purposly post that message using that horid slang style writing or is that the way you always talk. EVERYBODY does not have their subs facing like that some just like having them inverted for show or because they dont have enough space to make the box big enough and inverting the sub cuts the sub displacement out of the equation. As far as spl goes that doesnt change but sq generally goes down.

as long as the faze is correct it doesnt matter which way your subs are facing, there is no difference in pressure change, the only thing you have to remmeber is when your making your box you have to add the sub displacement to the total volume calculation instead of subtracting it

was sup wit this.  =  I don't understand the principle behind this concept.

der boxes   =  the boxes;  a subliminal Neo-Nazi-ism brought on by the recent onslaught of Neo-Nazi names such as Volfenhag.

kno  =  know, as in kno wut i mean?

faze  =  phase.  Modern English dictates that now all ph's become f's, and all s's are now z's.  Became the standard after Ohms was renamed ohmz by a poster on this very site.  Along with Kenwood's popularization of the Phat system.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

If you LIKE listening to a noisy motor structure on most subs, then hey, go for it. Invert them! As far as any possible benefits? I guess there;s an "oohhh... ahhh" factor at work, but that's about it. Perhaps improves motor structure cooling??? I don't really know. Personally? I like to see cones... it's just better that way.
