Hello,

I have recently purchaced a pioneer DEH-P6600. it has a weird issue with the display. it inverts colors every 10 seconds after 30 seconds of inactivite. So if I change the volume the display is normal the background is black and all letters and numbers are blue. after 30 seconds (exactly) the display inverts and the background is blue and all the letters and numbers are black. it stays that way for 10 seconds (exactly) then changes back. it does this repedly. it does not matter what mode its in, what display is choosen or even if its off and just displaying the clock.

am i missing a setting?

It does that. Mine does it too...

Just inverts the colors to make you go...oooo ahhhh.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

If you want to stop it from inverting the colors

1. Turn the unit off.

2. Press 5

3. Turn unit on.

Bingo.

Q. Why does my display reverse polarity every 10 seconds?

A. Your stereo may be in the Reverse Demo

If you do not perform an operation within about 30 seconds, screen indications start to reverse, and then continue reversing every 10 seconds. To turn this feature off, enter the Initial Setting Menu. Press and HOLD the source button, until the stereo shuts off. Pressing button 5 on the faceplate when the power to the radio is switched OFF while the ignition switch is set to ACC or ON cancels the Reverse Demo mode. Press button 5 again to start the Reverse mode.

It's a setting,with the radio turned off press 5 one time to disable the setting and if you want to look at a demo press 6.

What a pain. I saw that reverse demo section and skipped over it, thinking i am using it , its not in demo mode. I even searched pioneers site, obviously I did not know what i was looking for.

Issue resolved!
