Power questions

Still learning here,

but what is the best/simple way to find out how much power or amps I will be pulling from my system....

do you go by the amps and cap. and spekers.....

or just the fuses........

That 24 volt-------does this mean I need more than one battery to run this cap?

Hmm certainly not by the fuses, though they do give you an idea of how how much power your system drains. I too would like an answer to this question - but the current drain of a 50 watt head unit. It is actually 50/12=4.16 amps? This seems like LOADS!

This is what I have

320 on two amps with the cap powering the back amps, useing 0 guage from battery, 2 guage from cap to amp.

and 120 on the front amps

that to much for a stocl alt. I know I should upgrade it, just havet made it that far yet//

Actually, that is the capacitor's voltage limit rating, meaning it is the maximum voltage it is capable of storing.  It cannot create voltage from nothing and will only charge up to the max output from your alternator.  It will never attain 24 volts in a vehicle with a 12 volt system - nor do you want it to!

NO. Capacitors have MAX voltages only. They will blow if you go above that voltage. But they only charge to the voltage you apply. You can use a 348349087534807V cap in a 12V system. It'll only get to 12V, but in this case, that's a good thing, 'cause you don't want to be blowing your amp with 348349087534807 volts.
