I am thinking of getting two 12" legend series subs from a friend for $150 with a good box that comes with them. Does anyone know the power rating of the subs? Are they a good subwoofer, or should I pass them up?

PASS...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Thats a bit of cash for a woofer of that age(at least 5 yrs). They were rated at 250 watts rms.I have one on my test bench for testing amps.I damaged the voice coil with a Peavey CS-400 amplifier and a 60 hz test tone.

I would buy it for the sake of destroying it ... just for fun. ... Plug it into an AC outlet and see what true power is all about ! lol
"I don't play games. I play Nakamichi and that for real yo" - Probably some japanese kid said this in the early 80's trying to sell stereo out of his trunk lol.
