sound problem

have brought a boss hu, off ebay. got no instructions with it, or anything. got power, but no sound from speakers. the thing is im getting a crackle noise when i put the speaker wires together. does anyone know if there is a trick to boss hu? or is the internal amp stuffed.

You mean you hear a crackle sound from the speakers but not the music?  Yes, your HU amp is "stuffed."  Time to get your money back - and use it for something other than Boss is my suggestion.  For a good entry-level HU try anything from the more mainstream brands like Pioneer, Panasonic, Blaupunkt, Alpine...

thanks for the info. now if i ran the speakers off an amp, via the line out cords, would this work?

Are yo sure youve got the  speakers all hooked right, Why not get youre money back on that one?

Anyway im pretty sure the line outs run of a different source in the h/u,just try it you may be ok
