anyone out there have any experience with directed's 456a door lock interface? I am working on a 01 pontiac bonniville installing a viper 160v with a 555g passkey interface, everthing is working fine and i even thought the doors were fine, but if you let the car set for a few minutes the car will not unlock on drivers door unlock and you will have to hit the button again for all doors unlock and then it will work, the 456a has a led on it but the instructions say nothing about it give me some advice!!!

i am going to awnser my own post, on observing this it is like the system is going to sleep and once it is woke up it works fine, in the instruction there is only a wiring diagram no explanations, one wire i havnt hooked up is negitive door trigger out, i figured it was for an alarm application, i guess i will try it since i think the system is going to sleep, but guess where the door triger is? in the door, the whole reason i tried this modual was so i wouldnt have to go in the door, anyway here i go, see ya.

That wire is to connect to the door trigger input on an alarm. You don't want to connect it to a door trigger wire in the car.
Just try using the All Door Unlock wire. The 456a and 456b aren't the most reliable modules.

i've had the same problem with the 455G's...they work fine until the car sits for 15-20 minutes then the drivers only unlock doesnt unlock the door...i program them all now for double pulse/all door unlock....

DEI wont admit they have a problem with some of their modules
