why is that hayman?

i know he can make way more $ with an option like that...but how about the poor techs?

i am going to assume that the acuras are brand new, and if not, still under some kind of factory warranty.  anyways, once the sale is made, it is done for the most part.  after the sale is made, the salesman/manager have already made better their numbers or quota or budget or whatever the case may be.  after everything has been signed and official, it is up to the techs to maintain the cars and every single complaint comes back to the tech.  ( if anyone here is a tech for a manufacturer like VW or GM then show me some love).  anyways, from what i have read on other posts, articles, websites,  the factory remote starters arent that good for any manufacturer.  under warranty, customers come back for the stupidest reasons(hard to stop when i go 100mph+) and the people that have to put up with the BS are the techs.

Very sorry, I'm not directing anthing toward you or your fam i'm just telling it how it is from one point of view..

No problem I'm  a licensed automotive tech and I've been out of the trade some years but I  know full well what its like to be a Tech!

I think for him it was all the hassels involved   as they don't install them on site and have to ship them out.  Then when there is come backs (yes it does happen)  they have to go back to the install shop etc.  He would at least like there to be a harness ready to accept a remote starter etc.

On a positive note they switched install shops and things have been going more smoother he says.
