95 bmw 318i. got the remote start and alarm installed.... just two problems...

1. Remote start does not work unless key is in the ignition in the "on" position

2. Power Locks don't work unless key is in the ignition in the "on" position

Something to do with BMW's and EWS (a chip in the key)... i think.

Help!!!!!

you need to use a bypass module in that car. I usually use an extra key in a d.e.i. 556u module. There is also a tech fax document for your car. Don't have it in front of me but I can get it for you.

the only way i know about making the key thing work is by wrapping i think its like 120 coils of copper around the key... dont remember if thats the correct amount or not.. i know its more than american cars..   but id rather use a 556u.. dont trust the programming on other units
