Does anyone know the color, polarity and location of the rear defrost wire on a 02 Explorer.

I want to hook up an extra channel on my remote start to turn on the rear defrost.  But I'm havving any hard time getting off the bezel around the center console to gain access to the rear defrost switch.  Would like to know if the wire can be found somwehere else then just behind the switch.

Thanks.

I'll see if I can get to the switch.  Do you know where the wire goes? Can it be found in a different location (behind glovebox, driver or pass kick ...)?

you can try and listen for a relay clicking sound when you press the button....it might have a relay that you can get to ....
