Hello, I will be installing a Crimestopper RS900VII remote starter in a 2005 Toyota Solara. I was wondering if anyone has done one of these and can give any tips / problems they ran into.

Also, if someone could post the wiring info I would be most greatful.

Thanks a lot.

Using the key sence and double unlock pulse are the 2 things to NOT forget!

Keysense wire is a wire that will show ground when the key is slid into the ignition switch.

The 5 wire trunk release is done in the drivers kick using a standard automotive SPDT relay.

Pin 30 will go to the motor side of the wire

Pin 87a to the switch side of the relay.

Make sure you wire up pins 87a and 30 the correct way.  If you don't you may damage something, or blow a fuse.

87 to constant fused source.

85 to constant fused source

86 to trunk output from crimestopper (-) negative pulse.

it wil basically look like one half of the following diagram

Question... Will the second ignition wire (BLACK / YELLOW) test the same as the first ignition wire with a multimeter? Reason I ask is because there are two BLACK / YELLOW wires..

Thanks

One of the BLACK / YELLOWs is a second starter....read the tech sheet CAREFULLY, and slow down.

The 2 Ign. wires will test the same......

Yes, there are two ignition wires AND two starter wires. I figured which were which.. They tested the same as the starter 1 and ignition 1.

I cannot find the parking light (green) wire.. I've look for like 10 minutes..

Also, is it possible to test the horn wire (GREEN/ black)? I tried probing a wire and tooting the horn but I didn't get any change on my  meter. I don't know if that's because I have the wrong wire or if I'm testing it wrong.

Thanks for the help.

How do I know which side of the wire is the switch side and the motor side? I'm just cutting the WHITE/ blue wire and then joining a wire to each from the relay (among other wires) but how do I know which side to put to which wire?

As far s trunk switch and trunk motor side, you can guess or you can take a look at where the wires go and see which one heads toward the trunk, thats the motor. Be sure your 12v+ source is fused, because if you hook it up wrong, you will blow the fuse.
Horn wire is negative. It should read 12 volts at rest and 0 volts when horn sounds. It is GREEN/ Black at the fuse box connector D pin 11, or it can be found in the column in a black connector near the air bag connector.
Parking light positive is green at the fuse box at the C connector pin 4

Thanks.. Could you also provide the location of the key sense wire?

Also, for the trunk.. Could I just tap into one of the fused 12v constants from the starter?
