I have a 1992 Pontiac Transport. All of a sudden the power doors and power windows on the driver and pasenger sides stopped working. From the inside the doors will lock/unlock and open. From the outside, the key will unlock the door (the lock bar moves) but when you pull on the handle the door is frozen shut (both front doors). The rear door and side sliding door work normally.

Checked the fuses - good. Checked the circuit breakers under the panel beneath the glove compartment - good. Used a DMM for continuity.

Checked the wiring diagrams off Autozone. They show no connection between the power locks and the power windows except the terminal block in the doors. If one block was bad, would that affect both doors?

Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds more like a mechanical problem not electrical.  All the electrical lock/unlock does is move the lock bar.  It sounds like the rods going from the outer door handle may be broken.

Finally took it to a shop. WEIRD coincidence that both clips came off the door rods on the same day and the wire going to the driver door windows broke at same time.

Sounds to me like someone was trying to gain entry into your car with a slim jim. Both clips AND a wire broken? Thats no coincidence. You'd better keep an eye on your car. A theif was trying to use a slim to to unlock your door but he only broke the door handle clips off and popped a wire. I've seen this happen before, beleive me.
