has anyone used the new DEI 457G interface module?

I was just curious if anyone knows if the trunk release will work using this module on a 03 caddy CTS? i was just on directechs.com and they say that the trunk release interface will not work on all platforms of vehicles the 457G is designed to work on.

ive used several of them but im not sure of the trunk release. just use the RED / white channel 3 output on the alarm for it.
