How would you determine a door lock system on an older model Ford vehicle, if the person bought it used, and didn't know if it came with or without keyless entry? I do know that if you cut the suspected door lock and unlock wires in half, that all lock and unlock features
will not work, making it reverse polarity. How about if it is positive pulse? Will the driver's door still be operable, and all other inoperable?

The easiest way to tell is to remove the door lock switch on the drivers door.  Usually the window and door lock are all on a removable panel.  Check for the wire colors you are looking for or look for the groups of wires.  A Positive pulse door lock will have 3 wires, were five wire door locks will have 5 or 6 wires for the door locks.
