Installing Amenity RE4 Remote Entry Kit.  Think it is wired ok; Automatic ignition door locks work, so i know the door lock triggers are ok; cannot get unit to recognize remote and lock the doors with buttons, or pop trunk, or light LED on dash. Constant 12 v is good to main unit, ground is good to main unit, switched 12v is good to unit.  Any ideas?  Remote led lights up when pressed; seems to have worked well enough to program auto ignition lock.

Is the entry system programmed to recognize the remote that you have.  Most modules like these, if purchased new, are not pre-programmed.  The included instructions should tell you how to do this.

Figured it out; the instructions are not very clear, and they don't make it clear that in order to get the main unit to accept the remote, you really have to do the programing sequesce very quickly.  Finally got the remote accepted, now it works ok//
