Resistor help

So recently I fried my amp, and it's a long story but I had wanted something newer so just for kicks I opened it up to see what had been fried and I find 4 resistors right next to each other just toasted. Now on the opposite side of the amp the same 4 are in tatc and fine. Just for kicks I wanted to see if I could replace the resistors and see if the amp worked again. Now I took a multimeter and had it set at 200 on the ohms setting. It read 10.3. I went to radioshack and they had different kinds rated at 1/2 volts and 1/4 volts and I had no idea what I needed. I read around on the site here and didn't really find the answer to what I needed. So if anyone can direct me to what i need to read or give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

I think you mean watts, right?  Just get the replacements with the same diameter leads and component body, and they'll be the right power rating.  Just make sure the color bands are the same as well.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Try bringing the entire amplifier to radioshack... Usually there is somebody in that store who knows what they're looking at...~wayland

I did that and they were no help.

And yes I did mean watts. sorry.

Which is why I go to U Do It electronics here in Boston. A huge electronics store that would blow radio shack away. And boy, are those guys who work there geeky!   But they get the job done right Look around in the phonebook. Maybe there's a spectialized electronic supply store around you (other than radioshack)~wayland

Radio Shack employees seem to know nothing about electronics anymore. Remember the commercial where they said, "You've got questions. We've got answers. 

After making numerous trips to radio shack over the years I have decided that their new phrase should be,

"You've got questions. So do we."

If you catch a customer in there they might be able to help though
