I installed a prostart 3300 in a S10 (2000) The door locks are not working, the remote starter only gives a (-) output for the lock and unlock, it seems the trucks wires that are indicated are a positive output, any suggestions or does anyone have the schematics for the door lock control for a 2000 S10??

Thanx for your help

Here is the info for that trucks locks Denny. You are correct about the positive pulse. You will just have to use two relays and connect them like shown on the relay page at this site for positive doorlocks.  https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#3wp

She's all done, I mainly work on Toyota/Lexus products so the S10 was a learning experience!!

I have this s10 that I put a remote starter in (prostart) with passlock security.  I installed the module for the passlock system It works fine but the security light comes on while driving.  I can shut it off restart and it is fine for about 3 min then it comes on again.  It seems to be getting more frequent.  Any ideas guys??

Thanks Denny

GM Passlock security problem, my favourite. Try changing the passlock II bypass module. If that still doesn't work consider running a single relay for the bypass.
Here's a diagram on how it can be done.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.2000 S10, prostart 3300 remote starter - Last Post -- posted image.

Hi All Again

I have a prostart mt3300 in a s10 pick-up.  It has passlock2 security.  I bought the bypass and it works.  But  now and then when you drive the car the security light comes on.  When the car is shut off it will start again but the light comes on while driving at different times.  Any ideas??

Pretty frustrated.

When you re-start it, are you using the key or the prostart?

I can use both and it will start,  Mainly the remote start is used.  Would the factory keyless entry have anything to do with this problem??  The car will start either way but when she runs the bloody security light comes on.  But all is normal when the car is shut off ready to start with key in or remote.

Thanx in advance for all the help.

Denny
