fm modulator sattelite radio

as you all can see i'm a newbie, anyhow probably a dumb question to you all but i have never hooked up an fm modulator sattelite radio reciever.  this one is a sony xm model i'm unsure of the year or model cause i am hooking this up for a friend in his 2003 venture van.  i would like any help with hooking this up cause he bought it used from e-bay and does not have the manual for it.  i'm able to hook up stereos remote starters alarms build woofer enclosers and i have played with fibreglass quite a bit, so it he had an install manual i would not be looking for help, but i never hooked up one of these before and all my experience is self taught, with alot of help from an installer in town here who helps me alot simply cause of the fact that he see's me enjoy this trade so much.  so anyone out there that could help would be much appreciated

I've never done satellite but, I did an FM modulated cd changer and it was a simple matter of plugging the antenna and changer into the fm modulator box. The box was labeled.  If yours isnt maybe you could go to Sonys website and download the manual. You need to find out the model though.
