I have a Toyota Tacoma 2004 and wanted to put  a cold air on it to complement my flowmaster exhaust.  I was looking at the AEM and the K&N, and they both seem good.  Does anyone know if one is necessairily better than the other?  I am looking for some more sound out of the engine as well as a few ponies under the hood.

My friend bought a kit for his 2000 tacoma from ebay, and lets just say we had to do some strange modifications to make it fit.

I don't believe there is much of a differene between the two, but I prefer AEM. AEM has been doing these kits longer, and I was told AEM uses K&N filters so either way...

Are you doing short ram or the system that is longer? AEM has a great device that stops water from going up the pipe if you are doing the longer kit.

I am doing the brute force cold air intake from AEM is what I am leaning towards, but I was wanting to see what everybody else is thinking.
