i installed a viper 791 into my friends 2003 toyota highlander and everything is good except for the auto headlight. i pulsed the drivers door pin and it didn't work. so i added a relay to give it more ground and it worked. but now the power lock won't unlock. if i disconnect the rearm wire that goes to the door pin then the door locks work. if i connect the rearm wire to turn of the auto headlights, the doors will lock but won't unlock. can anyone please advice me, thanks...

make sure that the realy also latches back to open because if it does not, then it will not let you do the locking.

instead of pulsing the door pin, why not access the wiring at the headlight switch stalk. i'm pretty sure if you operate the switch (move from auto postion to others) when the headlamps are on, they will turn off. can't remember if isolating or pulsing one of the wires does it though. this info may help though

The proper way to do it, is to pulse the drivers door pin. If that dosent work, find the running light wire and break it with a realy, and trigger it with ground while running, that way the light WILL NOT come on during remote start!
