My buddy has an pre-owned Evo VIII with an after market alarm and for some reason when he opens his door, the dome light doesn't come on. BUT when he manually turns on the dome light switch, it works!?!? WHAT??? Any suggestions? It's weird because if the alarm is on and i open the door, the alarm gets a warn but the dome doesn't come on.

Now here is a question about my truck. I have an 02 Ford F250 with a Viper 791xv and when I open the door sometimes, the dome light doesn't come on. It is set to passively arm/lock so after i disarm it with the door open. Dues to the dome not turning on, it arms. and it doesn't matter what door i open.

Does the dome light come on when any door is open. Most cars today you can set it so it dont turn on when doors or open. it be right tere at your switch. it be a 3 posistion switch. Door- on -off

when the switch on the actual domelight is set to turn on when the door is open, the light doesn't go on when the door opens. but if you switch the dome light on, it turns on.

may have a bad switch, hard to belive that both pin switches are bad. take it to the dealership.
