I've never even considered this before, but would there be any way to add a starter kill and or shock sensor to a factory alarm on a 2000 Civic Si(or a vehicle with a factory alarm)?

Yes, you probably can if TIME is not the issue and if you can get the right set of infomation pertaining to the factory alarm unit. I don't see why not.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Adding to factory Honda Alarm - Last Post -- posted image.

You can add a passive starter kill on the vehicle and a shock sensor you can, but you have to piggy back the door trigger wire for the final trigger and you won't be able to use a dual shock otherwise the system will always go off on you.

I haven't gotten around to actually "testing" the factory alarm, been too busy with other projects and what not. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.
Thanks

As Jeff said all you need is a shock sensor. Wire it up to constant, ground, and the door trigger. When the factory alarm is set, the shock sensor will set it off. We do this all the time except we are usually adding glass break sensors. It's quick and simple don't overthink it trying to integrate with the OEM alarm when you don't have to.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?? IF THE SENSOR IS ALWAYS ON THEN WHEN YOUR DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT WILL BE TRIPPING THE DOMELIGHT THINKING THE DOOR IS OPEN?? HAS TO BE A WAY TO TURN IT OFF WHEN THE ALARM IS NOT ON... ANYWAYS THEIR ARE DEI UNITS THAT ADD AFTERMARKET SIRENS/SHOCK SENSORS/ AND EVEN REMOTES STARTS LIKE THE 561T.. THAT CAN BE ADDED TO THE FACTORY UNITS..

Add a relay to break one of the leads off the sensor when the ignition turns on. You could break the constant or trigger doesn't really matter. Haven't done these for a while, but now that you mention it we do throw the relay in. Thanks for picking up on that I completely forgot about that.

Thats basically what I wanted to hear THANKS!...now can anyone that's done this before give me a little better of an idea of how to install the shock sensor? A diagram would be excellent. Also would you be able to add glass breakage sensor and shockor just is it just choose one sensor?
Possibly have this added as part of the site for future reference as its a really good idea/alternative.
