I have an alpine mrd-m500 and i have been trying to get it to play loud and it just doesn't seem to want to hit hard.  I have it on one 12.  I tried looking into the directions but they are so brief it doesn't help at all.  It said something about having to make it learn something, but i really didn't understand it.   At this point it sounds less powerful than a 50 watt amp.  If anyone could help me, i would appreciate it.

that amp needs to be run 2 ohm and make sure you go thru the programming good... need a BS degreee to understand them now.. not regular gain controls.. but they are AWESOME amp and they are strong.. but need to be run 2 ohm as per alpine tech..
