i installed my 791 a couple days ago and i love it..the range is awesome except that in big buildings like wal mart,  movie theater, etc..i notice that the range cuts off at not a very far distance.  this is when i want it to work b/c if someone opens my door i wanna know about it and go stop it.  i read if i turn code hopping off then i will get better range but are there any bad consequences if i turn off code hopping?  the manual doesnt really explain too good of what it is.  anyone know if any problems might occur if i turn off code hopping?  or any ways to improve range?  thanks in advance.

I dont think turning off code hopping would improve the pager range, but its worth a shot. The only "bad" thing is that if someone was near enough with a code grabber they could grab the code and retransmit it and disarm the system after you are out of sight. For more range i would suggest moving the antenna to different places in the vehicle and see if that will help. Getting a usable signal from the parking lot into a building is gonna be tough no matter what you do though.
