Remove power and test the sub(s) for ohms and see if the wires were possibly touching somewhere.  If that all checks out, leave the amp disconnected for a couple hours, disconnect all inputs and outputs and see if it's still in protect.  If it stays in protect with only the power, ground and turn on lead (and they read like they should on the meter) hooked up, you have a bad amp.

Are you sure it's not the Output Disable? If all you changed were the amp settings, you shouldn't have done anything to cause it to go into protection.

Its near impossible to fry an alpine digital amp, turn safe mode off, and remember to save your settings.

I got the amp out of safe mode and after I set it to the setting you guys gave me I got little sound. It also started clipping at even lower volumes. If my fuse is at too low of an amperage would that limit current flow. It startes to clip when the m1000 tries to pull more than 60 amps. I discovered there is a 60 amp fuse in the fuseholder and will be replacing it with the recommended 80amp fuse to see if that helps.

Do you have an alpine dealer in town? If so, please get it re-installed there.  You have so many variables that you could have wrong, and since that thing is a dang computer you gota know what your doing.  You probably have a crappy ground for one, you could have a shorted wire, shorted rca, messed yup subs, anything, , we will be here trouble shooting for a year.  We have already gone 2 pages into this thread and by that point if its not set up its time to get a pro involved, sorry, but we can only do so much without actually playing with the amp ourselves.

The alpine delership said I needed a bigger alt(bullsh!t), My ground is ZERO ohms, my rca's are fine, I have a kicker 200.2 that I used for a couple days on the same wiring and it sounded good, my amp has already been sent to alpine and they said there was nothing wrong with it, my subs test 3.9 ohms each.

The one wierd thing is that I have a digital cap and the amp sounds fine until the cap voltage drops below 14.0. At 13.9 it starts clipping. It also starts clipping at exactly 60.2 amps currrent draw.

Okay, then.  Take the cap out and see if the problem disappears.  It wouldn't be the first time I've seen something like this, and I'm sure plenty others have as well.  I think you've isolated your own problem as a defective cap.

the problem was before and after the cap, I will remove though and see if the bug lives on. Would haveing a fuse that is too small restrict power flow.
