I tried to wire my dome super for my 02 Ford F250 and I don't get the wiring. I found the wire that leads directly to the domelight. I tried to touch 12v to it and when I did, I heard relays going off.....????? Has anyone hooked up the domelight supervision on an 02 F250 before?

What alarm is it. and you shold probabaly use a relay to turn it on rather than the alarm directly
What the output for the dome light supervision??

Dome Supervision BLACK/ lt.blue  +  passenger kick panel
you must have to use a relay to do it.

You can also get to the BLACK/ lt. blue wire in the grey molex connector to the right of the steering column. That's where I connected mine (2000 F250)

I have a viper 791xv. when i was trying to do it i was testing with a 12v source. i followed the wire directly from the dome down to the kick panel, then when i cut it the domelight went off. so in my head i was set that this was the dome wire. then i tried to tap 12v to that wire so see the dome flicker but nothing...just relay clicking....i will try the ....."...BLACK/ lt. blue wire in the grey molex connector to the right of the steering column....".... tonite and see what happens. i will keep you informed.

thanks

hey Smoke Signals, when you hooked it up, did you just tap into it from a relay or did you diode it?

i wanted to ake sure that was the one.....i thought another wire was the dome because it acted like it....when the domelight went on, it would get 12v so i hooked it up to that and when i tried it, a little light on my door went on....

No need for diode.

Here's what you do: H1/4 (Blk/Wht) connects to terminal 85 on the relay. Tap the door trigger wire (blk/lt. blu) and connect to terminal 30 on the relay. Terminals 86 and 87 on the relay both connect to 12v constant.

Hope this helps.
