Hello,

Can anyone tell me where I can located the vehicle speed sensor? I think I may have found it but I want to make sure before I tap into it.  I am installing a Kenwood navigation system and would really appreciate the help. Also, I need to track down the back up light wire, if anyone has a wiring diagram that would be great.

Thanks,

Alfred

Not 100% sure but you may be able to get it at the radio plug. Check the light-GREEN / WHITE in that plug.

VSS - GREEN / WHITE @ the instrument cluster
Backup - Light green (+) pull the fuse cover off the left side of the dash and it should be in that harness there. If not check both door sills.

Thanks Mike,

I got the gauge cluster off and found the GREEN / WHITE wire, but there are 3 of them? Just tap into anyone of the three?

Pin:

A2: Not Used
A3: BLACK/ White - Low Washer Fluid Control
A4: Dark GREEN / WHITE - Vehicle Speed Signal
A5: White - Engine Speed Signal (Tach)
A6: Gray - IPC Class 2 Serial Data

Sorry about that should've been more descriptive.. The wire you want is in pin A4. I've listed some of the other wires around it to help you pick it out. Hope it helps,
Mike
