Fake paypal verification letter

This is very true; the best practice to avoid being taken by this kind of thing is to NEVER, NEVER click on a link in an email, even if it says it's going to the paypal website; it's usually a redirect to a dummy site.  Authentic letters from paypal or ebay will never direct you to click on a link within the email.  They will tell you to go to your browser and type in paypal.com or ebay.com or whatever.  If you're a frequent ebayer the ebay toolbar would be a good idea, it has the account guard feature that will let you know whether the site you are on is an authentic ebay or paypal site.  You can also forward these suspicious emails to spoof@ebay.com and they will let you know whether or not the email is authentic.Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

If you read some of the things on Paypal. It clearly states to never respond with any of those emails.

I think I received a fake e-bay messege last week that looked very convincing.  I checked the address bar and it had nothing to do with e-bay.Poly Dollies
