what to do with factory keyless entry

I have a 96 murcery cougar with keyless entry.  I want to install a autopage 750 and im not sure if I have to disconnect the keyless entry or can I just work around it, as if it wasnt there.  any help would be great. thank you.

just did an autopage RS720LCD in a '94 Lincoln Mark VIII...had to connect the factory disarm wire (dark green w/purple) in the driver's kick b/c dude's factory alarm was messed up when he brought it in...if he used the factory keyless entry remote to arm/lock the car, it would go off in less than 60 seconds.

i eventually disconnected the 2nd harness of the factory keyless entry module located behind the glove box b/c he kept complaining of the alarm (didn't know if it was the factory alarm or the Autopage) going off when he went to open the door.

usually, after we install an alarm, we tell the customer to put away the factory keyless remotes...only problem is when you have a car like that with memory seat positions dedicated to each remote (usually his and hers).
