hey all,

i've searched through the forum and have found a few topics related to this model, and plenty related to the parking bypass. While I understand the main way to bypass is by grounding the parking brake wire, I had bestbuy install my deck for me. They took off the label which identified the parking brake wire, and there is two green wires which are comming out of the brain. (I remember 1 green wire is the parking brake, while the other im not too sure of).

I opened up the center console where the parking brake is, and there were no green (or any color) wires connected to it. Therefore I have no idea which wire to ground, or how to, for that matter! would I just splice the wire and attatch it to a piece of metal?

Thanks

If you pull out the screen there will be a small 4 pin plug, in it should be a red, yellow, black, and green.  Take the green from that plug and connect it to ground.  The reason you don't see a wire going to the parking brake is because they grabed the brake wire some were else in the car.
