Bypass VATS, 95 Camaro

The easiest way to bypass the system is go to the nearest alarm/stereo installation shop that sell DEI Alarms(Viper,Hornet,Python,Clifford,ect.) and ask for the VATS resistor kit. I can post the part number on Tuesday if you need it. The kit has 15 resistors and a sheet with the resistor values. Once you have the resistor kit, you will have to: 1)locate the VATS/PASSKEY harness that runs down the ignition harness(2 thin wires surrounded by Orange or Black tubing). 2)Once you locate the wires, you will have to cut them. 3) Tape the ends of the wires coming from the IGNITION KEY side. 4) Strip the insulation from the remaining ends about 1/4". 5) Place one side of a resistor to each wire. 6) Try to start the vehicle.(about 3 seconds to allow the fuel to go through system). 7) Try each resistor until vehicle starts.(15 possibilities). if you have the original key and a dmm you can just check the resistance on the chip on the key and it will tell you which resistor to use
