i have a code alarm elite 2100 and when ever the power gets hooked to the unit, all that happens is the siren ging off and no matter what button, valet switch or the remote the siren jus goes on and on. what is wrong bad unit?

Having experience with this, it's probably best to now check the ground of the alarm. As it stands, it's using the siren as its only ground.

Make sure it's cleanly attached to the chassis or some other reliable ground point first.
