I want to switch over to a 300A ANL fuse when I get my distribution block. What all do I need along with the actual fuse?
- 300 A fuse
- ANL fuse holder
Do I need certain ring terminals along with the fuse? I'll be putting 1/0 AWG wiring into the fuse holder... What are -ALL- the little things I need? Are there specific ring terminals for ANL fuse holders, as to AGU ones?
I dont want to wind up buying things I can't use, or have to keep ordering things down the line.
I liked the post somewhere about donations, whoever can help me, I will donate $1 to their paypal account, thanks!

no, gold and platinum plating does nothing other than resist corrosion.
You'll probally need ring terminals for each side. Or you could get a mini-anl fuse holder and you wouldn't need ring terminals....then again, you'd have to special order fuses :)

How much is 1 fuse? $10-$20 plus the insanely priced holder... go with a hi-amp breaker,(3 in parallel i.e. if say 100 amp breakers are all you canget your hands on...)

as auex mentioned, 300A is pretty darn high... are you sure you need or want your system's primary fused that high???   no diff on Platinum or gold... ring terminals is all you should need if you already have your primary fused now..... and the idea was to donate a buck to the site, not to the advice givers private account.... you are getting great, free advice ( not neccessarily mine ) from/via the site, not the individual....

ah, misunderstood the donation
as for 300A fuse... i'm going to be running my current amp (75A fuse) and a new amp (120A) through a distribution block and into 1 fuse on my battery. Oh wow, I'm an idiot, it's 200A since I'll need at least 195A for both, geez not 300!
