DEI recommends not to upgrade the keyless entry because the motor wires rest approx. 7v. What if you added a resistor inline and out to ground from the alarms motor wires? 1k resistors?

1k resistor won't cut it. Use relays and wire accordingly.
Pin 85: To motor wire in vehicle
Pin 86: To ground
Pin 30: To 12volt or ground depending what polarity inputs your module has.
Pin 87: To input on module
Also depending on the module you may need to connect 87a to ground for proper operation. Some modules want to see the motor wires rest at ground.

if you are going to use 85 and 86 as nowyaknow said use a diode between 85 and 86 to avoid feed backs.
