I need to bypass the PATS on a 2000 Ford Taurus.  I was recently instructed to use a 556u to do this.  I purchased a 556u and a blank key.  Ohio Mike said not to have the key cut but the instructions for programming the key say to turn the ignition off and on.  If the key isn't cut how do you cycle the key on and off?  My other question is in the factory manual it says you need the 2 original keys to program a new key.  I only have one original key.  Is there any way to program the new key without having both the original keys?

I believe if you only have 1 key, you'll have to go to your Ford dealer to get another one programmed. Then you can go from there.

U have to have 2 keys to program it. put the blank key in the 556u. turn key 1, then key 2, then remote start it and that will program the key.
I assumed you had 2 keys. Sorry if I assumed too much.
