I was wondering if it is very hard to install a alarm with remote start on my 1995 oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.  People tell me that it is very hard but i would like to install it on my car. I do have experience installing cd players, speakers, and amps/subs.  When i buy the alarm, will it come with a step by step diagram on how to install it? Or will i have to figure it out on my own? Thanks for the feedback.

When you buy the alarm u will get and  installation guide with it but if not you can find one online if you do a search.  When you do get an alarm/remote start you might want to get the vehicle wiring diagram from this site.  It is very helpful when installing remote start.  Its not that bad if you have patience. Ive installed many alarms/remote starts in many vehicles.  Just take your time and solder every connection so no problems will happen later down the road. Mount the sensors, brain, relays, ect... before you run the wires. It makes it alot esier to hide wires and make it look professional.

You will have to do some homework, get your hands dirty and make that judgement for yourself. The differences between difficult and easy are just a matter of UNDERSTANDING. If you understand the concept and the fundamental of how an alarm unit operates I don’t see why it should be that hard to install.   Learn the basic and ask questions. Everything you need to know is all here on the forum. There are lots of professional installer here to help you out. Below is a wiring diagram for you vehicle. Take a look at it and hopefully you can put the two pictures together.
You can go here and download a copy of an alarm manual. They have the best installation manual for DIY and explain themselves very well.
