if u have a good sub-sonic filter on ur amp and set crossover correctly , i like port'd better if tuned to the right freq. U dont have a higher output on certain freq. but the right ones hit hard and clean......i listen to only rock too.....

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

plain and simple just listen to someone who owns kicker subs, becuse kicker makes SPL subs not SQ, if you are looking for SQ and a little bit of SPL then you should look into some jl audio, the best thing for you i think would be a w6v2, weather it be a 10 12 or even the 13 but jl is the best of both worlds when it comes to SQ and SPL
