Is this a factory amplified system? If it is you need to hook up the remote turn on lead. It should be the blue factory wire at the end of the power plug.
There is no such thing as free installation!

most of newer decks they days have an auto mute feature where the deck powers on but no sound comes from the speakers because on of them my be blown or because of the terminals or speaker wires are grounding. try this- if you hear a pop sound coming from the speakers when you first turn on the deck, one of them might be blown or grounding out. if that doesn’t work hook the deck up only with power-(yellow) ignition-(red) ground-(black) and remote if applicable (blue strip white and or solid blue) once you have these three wires hooked up and the deck is powered and running, hook up the speakers one by one until you find out which one mutes the deck when you connect it. than trace that wire and trouble shoot. good luck.

there is an amplifier behind the passenger rear panel in most of these vehicles.  do you have a square black plug, have you replace any of the speakers?
