Would Hifonics amps be good brand for someone who isn't into spending a lot but getting some good quality.  I want to power 2 Infinity Perfect 12 VQ (12") subwoofers with a Hifonics TX1005D.  I also want to power a pair of Infinity Kappa 63.7i (6 1/2") coaxials and a pair of Infinity Kappa 693.7i (6"x9") coaxials with a Hifonics TX4405.  Is that a pretty good combination or not?

sure. its really what you like the sound of. for example i like SPL and am not to picky about SQ. so a hifonic's amp would be fine for me. but if you really want SQ there are amps much better than hifonic's

Unless your an audio junky, Hifonics will be fine for your subs.  I've been reading around on here for a a month or two and you'll get a different answer everytime you ask about hifonics.  They are not the best.  Not even close to being the best.  But, for us who want a decent amp for a great price, Hifonics is the way to go.  I personally would pick a higher quality amp for my mids and highs though.  And, again, thats just my opinion.  Don't go in debt just to buy some bad ass amp that someone recommended.  Stay within your budget, and you'll be happy now, and even happier when you get your credit card bill.

Why would you pick a different amp for your mids and highs?

your not going to get great SQ. from  A hifonics amp. thats why it would not be a good choice. for you mids and highs. look at alpine, eclipse ,crossfire ,and soundstream, for 4 channel amps.

I found an Eclipse EA3422 4 channel amp for a pretty good price.  Should I go with that instead of the Hifonics TX4405?
