hopefully some one can help. i have a unit that is putting out some where around 12volts 8 watts per bulb (one bulb at a time) but what i need is to upgrade the 8 watts to around 55W. Is this posible? Should i add something inline before it gets to the buld? What i am trying to do is put brighter lights in my unit ex.12V 55W. It has 8 lights that run left to right. If it was not for the unit that makes it run left to right i know i could just run this like a few pears of fog lights. Do i need to add a relay or two or do i need something else. Any help wiil be great. Thanks, GTAfanatic.

PS. is the subject clear on what i am asking or should i chang it?

The wires can handle it, it is 12 gauge. just to clearafie this is not am alarm light / scanner. It.s is a side project. i know they sell interfacers that will increse the watts but, I want to know if there is a eazy way to make this work, You know kinda like makeing a wig-wag system instead of buying one. I search the fourm and found that but found nothing relating to my ?. Thanks for your interest and help in my question.
