I am going to install a Crimestopper 2016FM alarm/remote start on a 2003 Honda Civic(EX/4dr/manual trans). I'm a technician at a Honda dealership but not an alarm expert. I've installed several before but not on a newer vehicle with an immobilizer. I bought a DEI 556H-W immobilizer bypass module. My question is do I need a door lock interface module also? The vehicle has power locks and OEM keyless entry but no alarm. I would like to use the Crimestopper remote for alarm/keyless/remote start. I was told I can use a relay to wire the door locks and I read on here that I need diodes. I would like to make it as simple as possible so would a door lock interface help or is that only if you're adding remote start to a vehicle with a factory alarm? Also, is there anything else that I need or that is recommended? Model numbers/websites appreciated. Thank you for your time.

no to your question.

You can wire the doorlocks straight from the crimestopper.....if they shoot negative(chances are yes) connect them straight to the wires(no diodes , or relays)

POWER LOCK|WHITE/ blue          |- |gray plug above drivers kick|

|     POWER UNLOCK|WHITE/ green        |- |gray plug above drivers kick|

here is a pic.....don't worry about the alarm on the pic.....just look at the bottom left pic saying doorlocks wires

and you can connect your immoblizer separate from you doorlocks

Testing is the key
