Velocity Motors I am so glad you mentioned cutting the wire and seeing if it still works.

I cut the pink/violet (unlock) wire and both lock and unlock still worked.

Is there any way to check that single wire for sure other then color or tracing it?

And yes there are relays for the switches. Possibly part of the factory keyless.

99 Durango SLT 4x4

Has delayed dome light

One door and dome light share the same wire (Black w/ blue stripe).

Delayed dome light being on after door is closed makes the alarms door sensor read door open.

I can not turn delayed dome off.

How is this supposed to work?

Install instructions state

There are two wires that go to door pins Black Blue stripe (one door and dome light) and Tan Red stripe (rest of doors) use both and 1Amp Diodes to isolate.

But it seems to me that the delayed dome light would interfear.

Please help clarify this for me.
