About a month ago it happened. They took my radar detector, but it was useless to them. I cut the cord and had it hardwired. They also took my leatherman tool (that was the thing that pissed me off the most). They also took a set of jumper cables. The replacement window cost more than the stuff they took.
The thing that gets me is that they left my sub, amp, checkbook clearly laying on the seat, multi-meter, computer hardware for a GPS system for the farm, a second set of jumper cables, and CDs. My box and amp are not even tied down in any way, and I know that they saw them.
I have a 2 way compustar RS installed (no alarm). Even with no alarm installed, the remote still alerts to a door being opened without unlocking from the remote. I was within range, just sleeping too hard to hear it. Boy I wish I would have heard it and went outside to "meet" them.
I filed a police report knowing that it would do nothing but inconvenience the cop from his nap in a parking lot. The last thing I was asked was if I was willing to file charges if the guy was caught. I agreeed that was an option, but told him that he could drop the perp off at my place. He didn't like that idea.

oh and i was replacing the 318 engine and tranny in my 66 with a 440 and some kids stole the radiator. and scraped it for 8 freakin dollars.  it was a four core radiator. if they  knew what they were doing they could have sold it for a easy $50.00. but i got even. lets just say sand and motors dont go hand in hand.Ever have things stolen from your car? - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image.

I had a 1000w Legacy amp stolen out of my truck a few years ago now, can't say I really miss it. Someone walked into my garage and walked away with my old Aura Force 400Q a couple months ago I believe, I have not been able to find it since. I have been pretty lucky about breakins and such, I still need to call my insurance company and see if my audio stuff is covered, and if not how much it would cost me to cover it.

Ahhh... Memories. I have had so much stuff stolen out of my car it is rediculous. The best one was the night after a car show. I had approx $7000 retail worth of equipment stolen out of my driveway. Insult to injury, THEY LEFT MY ALARM ON MY DRIVER'S SEAT!

That is pretty bad.  Why do people do things just to be @$$ holes?  Anyways...  My cousin got his system stolen recently.  I don't know the exact models, but it was something like this...  2 15 inch woofers, JUST THE TWEETERS from his components up front, the faceplate off his HU, and last but not least... the tire pressure gauge.  The robbers also decided it would be fun to key his car and cut up his leather seats.  Needless to say my cousin was pretty pissed.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.
