Hello all,
I'm installing a CS-2011 in a Scion tC (2006). It has the side curtain airbags - I usually run wires underneath the a pillar, but I'm wary of even touching those airbags.
First question, is that a valid concern?
I was thinking of mounting the antenna under the dash, but was worried about range. I want to make sure it works at *least* at 200 feet with obstructions (back of my house to car) - my last car with the CS-2016FM could do well over 700 without issue, but that was with the antenna mounted on the glass.
So, second question, with those who've mounted antennas elsewhere other than the front windshield, what sort of range should we expect?
Thanks so much!

I put an alarm on an 05 mercury mariner with side curtain airbags and there was no problem removing the A-pillar.  I removed it multiple times because I also sound dampened the vehicle.  You can always disconnect the negative battery cable and let it set for a little bit so any excess current will drain off.  You shouldn't have any troubles.
Good Luck!
