Ok I'm about to install an alarm in my friend's 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Does anyone know if it needs a bypass to allow remote starting? Thanks for the help.

I don't think any of the Cherokkes needed a bypass, just Grand Cherokee. The easy way to tell on Chrysler products, if the key head is black it doesn't. If the keyhead is gray you do....
